STEREOSCOPE: THE GREY LION

The grey lion
paused, poised,

and surveyed
the savannah,

meaning to advance
toward natural nourishment.

The lion posed
in the dusk.

His wives thrive,
his progeny abide.

Fell lion fixed
in the low sun.

Behind, zebras
glide.

The wind faintly
persists,

the moon lurks,
never pausing.

Gravity works
gravely.

Grey lion, knight
of the tall grass,

persists in repose,
low sun

in each brown eye
a rose.
